Trinity Care Center
In 2017 Prime General Contractors LLC was invited to be a part of the construction team for the Trinity Care Center remodel and building addition.
The first phase construction commenced in November 2017 performing an interior remodel of the existing nursing home which dates back to 1965 and also adding on 3 building additions during this time which include a new front entrance vestibule/canopy, utility addition, and commercial kitchen addition. This work was completed while the building was occupied.
After Phase I was complete, Prime demolished an existing hospital that was over 40,000 sf. The existing concrete within the hospital was crushed on site and reused as base for the new pod addition. The new pod addition started construction in September 2018 and is expected to be completed by July 2019.
Overall there are 4 building additions totaling 36,540 SF, and an interior remodel of the existing facility totaling 13,672 SF.
Sholom Home of St. Paul, MN
Tremain Partnership implemented a remodel of the
Shirley Chapman Sholom Home East, located in St. Paul, Minn., as a means to add nursing beds. The goal of this renovation was to provide added care for the residents that call the Shirley Chapman facility home.
The project involved remodeling of the second, third and fourth floors of the post-tensioned concrete building. Sixteen new nursing beds were added, providing four additional short-term care units to the 2nd floor, four additional long-term units on the 3rd floor and eight long-term units on the 4th floor. The challenge on this project was meeting the strict requirements outlined by the Minnesota Department of Health, while precisely following the Minnesota Building Code Standards and the State of Minnesota Fire Marshall.
The renovations took place while the facility was still occupied and no more than five beds could be decommissioned at a time. This required four phases of construction. Working with the architect and design team members, Prime General Contractors LLC ensured minimal renovation disturbances and exercised the highest safety and quality standards for customer satisfaction.
Keeping with their core values, Prime General Contractors LLC developed lasting relationships with the owner, residents and design team members.
Construction began in October of 2016 on this remodeling project and was completed in March of 2017.
